Ashly Guernaccini founded atCAUSE Law Office because she knows good legal representation is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Her practice focuses on estate planning (wills, trusts, healthcare directives), elder law, probate, Medicaid assistance, intellectual property (trademarks & copyrights), and business law.

​

Ashly received her B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and her Doctor of Law Degree from Duquesne University School of Law. She spent over ten years as in-house counsel for large, nonprofit healthcare providers, managing their legal departments and overseeing regulatory compliance, trademark protection, labor and employment law administration, contract management, and many more legal and business functions.

While Ashly is already a member of the Pennsylvania Bar, she joined the Florida Bar in 2020 to start helping small business owners in Pinellas County with all of their legal needs.

​

Ashly can explain complex legal matters in a way that those who know nothing of the law can understand. She's efficient and great at time management, saving clients money on legal fees. Kelsey Duggan

Kelsey Duggan is a dedicated attorney with atCause Law Office, experienced in estate planning and probate law. A 2013 graduate of the University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Kelsey pursued her legal passion at Western New England University, earning her law degree and bar admission in 2017. With six years of legal experience, including nearly five years in estate planning and probate and a year in a personal injury firm, Kelsey brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the firm.

 

Kelsey's approach to law is client-centered, focusing on understanding and empathizing with each client's unique situation. She believes in building trust and comfort, especially when clients discuss sensitive matters. This philosophy extends to her service ethos, where she prioritizes strong, trust-based relationships with her clients, ensuring they receive personalized and compassionate legal guidance.

 

Away from legal duties, Kelsey passionately follows UCONN basketball and enjoys the vibrant excitement of live concerts. Her off-duty hours are delightfully occupied with the joys and challenges of raising an energetic one-year-old, bringing a down-to-earth and approachable aspect to her professional image. Vanessa Ferguson

Born and raised in Central Florida, Vanessa Ferguson is a proud Florida native with deep roots in the area.

​

Vanessa earned her Associate's and Bachelor's degrees in Criminology, focusing on Legal Studies, from the University of South Florida St Petersburg. She accelerated her education by completing her law degree at the University of Dayton School of Law in just two and a half years, earning a certification in intellectual property in the process.

​

During her law studies, Vanessa delved deeply into intellectual property, the Internet of Things, and privacy concerns, gaining practical experience through an internship at the University of Dayton’s Office of Legal Affairs. This role provided her with invaluable insights into corporate liability protection.

​

Vanessa holds certifications as a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), underscoring her expertise in data protection, privacy laws, and the technological aspects of legal services.

​

An engaged member of the Tampa community, Vanessa serves on the boards of the Foundation for Community Driven Innovation, Inc., and Diversity Access Pipeline, Inc., also known as Journey to Esquire, and is the general counsel for Ambition, LLC, doing business as Women in Tech & Entrepreneurship.

​

Vanessa's passion for law is matched by her commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and innovators. She is dedicated to providing legal guidance that helps her clients pursue their passions and build successful, innovative businesses.

Sylvana Rosende

Sylvana practices probate, estate planning, and guardianship law. She has extensive experience representing beneficiaries, fiduciaries (administrators, executors, trustees, and guardians), and handling contested trust, estate, and guardianship litigation. Sylvana also has dealt with real estate matters related to probate.

​

Originally from Miami, Sylvana has been involved in the legal field since a young age. She earned her bachelor's degree from Florida International University and graduated with honors from St. Thomas University College of Law. Throughout law school, Sylvana excelled academically, receiving CALI Book Awards in Legal Research and Writing as well as in Advanced Legal Research and Writing. She obtained an Elder Law Certificate for her studies in guardianship and elder law and consistently made the Dean's List. During her time in law school, Sylvana gained valuable experience interning for the Chief Judge of the Probate Division of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in Miami, focusing on probate and guardianship cases.

​

In her leisure time, Sylvana enjoys spending quality time with her family, playing with her two dogs, and supporting the Miami Heat.
